Our Team

At George Hamilton Real Estate & Management Co., we believe that building relationships with our clients is the cornerstone of this community business. Helping people navigate the process of buying and selling is what we do best. For over 35 years, George Hamilton and his team have given countless clients the one-on-one attention needed to successfully buy or sell land, farm, home, or business. We can offer this same care and dedication to you.

George Hamilton, Jr.

I have lived in the beautiful Sequatchie Valley all of my life. As a fifth-generation resident of this area, I knew that I wanted to spend my future in this majestic valley. After obtaining a degree in Agricultural Business from MTSU, I combined my love for this land and my enjoyment of people in a real estate and auction company. I received my Auctioneers and Real Estate licenses in the early 80s and began George Hamilton Real Estate & Management Co. I love helping people, and being part of their achieving goals and fulfilling dreams is what has made this career so rewarding for more than 35 years. I have helped thousands of people sell and purchase properties, farms, homes, and businesses. I feel that it is important to give each client the one-on-one attention needed to create confidence in the process of selling or buying. I can offer you that same attention to detail and confidence!

Jim Thompson

Being a native of the Tennessee mountains I have spent my life enjoying the great outdoors for both recreational pursuit and my professional career. After receiving my degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and receiving certification as a Wildlife Biologist through the Wildlife Society, I have spent over 20 years managing properties to enhance habitat, wildlife and fisheries quality and recreational value. My education, experience and passion for sporting and recreational property led me into the world of real estate so that I can assist buyers in finding the perfect land for their needs and also assisting sellers in grooming their land to achieve a maximum return on their investment. Faith, family, a love of the great outdoors and a desire to be the best “Me” that I can be are my daily motivators.

William L. "Chip" Kelly

I, too, am a lifelong resident of the Sequatchie Valley. I have been in the real estate field for over 30 years: however, you could say that I have been in real estate all my life.  I tagged along on my father’s real estate ventures as a child.  James “Ham” Kelly was in the business for over 60 years, and I learned a great deal about the industry from him.  Because of such a long history, I have had experience in all types of transactions including residential, commercial, large tracts, timber tracts, and mining tracts. The most valuable lesson I learned from him was that all clients should be treated with honesty and respect. I strive to live up to that with each client I meet. In my free time, I enjoy time with my family, especially my three grandchildren. I also enjoy travelling, camping, and fishing.

Kirk Morris

I am an affiliate broker for George Hamilton Real Estate & Management Co. serving the Middle Tennessee and East Tennessee regions. I am located in Knoxville, Tennessee and came to my current role after nearly two decades of financing farms and rural lands. I have worked closely with hundreds of family farm owners and residential landowners throughout Tennessee. My experience in agriculture and land management, together with my passions for providing the highest level of service makes me a natural fit for the George Hamilton team. I excel in assisting with the sale and/or acquisition of transitioning land, recreational land, agriculture and timber tracts, family estates, and conservation properties. Born and raised in Knoxville, I attended the University of Tennessee where I received my degree in Agriculture Economics and Business. I have remained in my hometown of Knoxville with my wife, Julie, and sons, Cole and Webb. When I am not brokering land, I enjoy spending time with my family and pursuing my passions of fishing, hunting, and boating. Whether you want to sell your property or are interested in investing in agriculture, timber, recreational hunting land, or a rural residential home site; I will utilize networking and advanced land techniques to help you make the best-informed decisions. Making smart, profitable land investment decisions is no different than any other type of investing. It starts with the right property at the right price, a strategic plan, and a good networking source to help achieve your goals.
